EVERYONE WELCOME

Community Christmas Choir @ The Annunciation
Once again this year we would love to have a home-grown choir as part of our Christmas celebrations at The Annunciation, Windermere
Avenue. If you love singing carols and are happy to be part of a
church service then we’d love to welcome you to be part of
the choir. Being able to read music is not essential. You also
don’t have to be a church goer. Our carol service* is a real
community event and we’d love to make it special by having
a community choir. Dates are as follows:
Community Choir event:
Carol service: Sunday 18th December 7.00pm
One day rehearsal: Saturday 19th November 10.00am – 3.30pm
(all refreshments & lunch provided)
Friday 25th November: 7.30 – 9.00pm
Friday 2nd December: 7.30 – 9.00pm
Wednesday 7th December: 7.30 – 9.00pm
Friday 16th December 7.30 - 9.00pm
Sunday 18th December: 4.30pm final rehearsal and Tea

* A carol service is a time when the church traditionally celebrates with the local community the story of Christ, God's son, being born to bring God into direct contact with his creation. Carols and readings from the bible (lessons) telling the story have been sung and recited down the decades going back to King Henry VIII's times.
There are many people who, whether with a deep Christian conviction or a more casual link, enjoy engaging in this tradition and who want to share in the joy of the occasion. If you are one of those people and you love to sing then we'd love to share in this celebration in song with you.
The plan is to keep it manageable, fun and inspiring. So we have one big rehearsal planned for a Saturday (as above) and three Friday rehearsals.
With one final rehearsal on the afternoon before the event in the evening, we should be ready for the big sing up!
NB on the Saturday rehearsal there will be coffee first thing, comfort breaks with tea and coffee provided as well as a light sandwich lunch in the middle of the day. Please bring a bottle of water with you to support all your hard work.
FINALLY: PLEASE LOOK AT THE SCHEDULE ABOVE AND IF YOU CAN MAKE ALL THE DATES THEN PLEASE CONTACT ME TO CONFIRM YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE PART OF OUR CHOIR THIS YEAR.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Jacqui Goddard
