Services

Our main service is our Sunday morning communion service at 9:30 a.m. where we enjoy a range of sung worship styles from more traditional hymns to worship songs, prayer and a short bible-based talk, as well as sharing in communion together.

After the service there is an opportunity to get to know each other and enjoy each other's company over a cuppa. You are guaranteed a very warm welcome at every service. So do pop by one Sunday and pay us a visit.

Créche facilities: We have a lovely créche area at the back of the church where children are able to safely play while parents can still feel part of the service. We now also have creche facilities in the side room at the front of the church for children who feel comfortable to spend a little time playing away from their parents, next door. This is currently combined with a mini Junior Church time. (see below for details).
Family Church

On the first Sunday of each month we have Family Church. It's a simple, easy to access service with communion.

If you are new to church, would like a safe space to explore or just give some time to your faith but feel that life squeezes it out, this is a good place to start.

Special services and celebrations

We have other occasional services linked to the festivals throughout the year, which will be flagged up here and on Facebook. So watch this space!

Junior church & Youth groups

The Annunciation has enjoyed a rich history of providing for children's and young people's activities, including sunday school, youth groups, and a youth band,

Over the years those children grew up and moved away from the area. We are glad to have grown enough in recent months to now run a short Sunday School session during the talk and prayer time, which we call Junior Church. We sing children's worship songs, share a short story from the bible, pray and do a practical activity. The children rejoin the church family for sharing the time of peace and are encouraged to be with their parents for the communion prayer time. After receiving a blessing and because of the younger agegroups, parents are free to use the space at the back of the church for children to continue to play quietly. (The side room is also available). At this time the children are their parents responsibility.

We are praying over time the community will know that children of all ages are welcome, that more families will come and find a safe and happy spiritual home here at the Annunciation.

As all of our young people have now gone off to University we currently have no youth group running. However with at least 25 years experience of running youth groups, Trevor and Jacqui are always keen to welcome teenagers and young adults and will always ensure that they provide something that is relevent and fun-filled to meet their needs.
